"Helpful alumni network, but a little overwhelming"
The alumni contacts were genuinely useful, and I appreciated that people seemed willing to pay it forward and help out. That kind of community support feels like the right way to do things. The only downside is that the site itself can feel a bit cluttered at times, so finding what you need isn’t always as smooth as it could be.

"Wasnt really worth my time"
I tried this online course and it just felt kind of all over the place. The videos were decent enough, but whenever I needed help, support took way too long to get back to me. The platform itself was confusing too, and I spent more time figuring things out than actually learning. I expected it to be a lot smoother, so for me it wasnt really worth it.

"Honestly, campus food was better than I thought"
I was kind of expecting campus dining to be just okay, but it was actually decent overall. Breakfast was usually my go-to, maybe because it’s harder to mess up, or maybe I’m just always happier with coffee and something simple in the morning. The salad and veggie options were better than I expected too. Dinners did start to feel a little repetitive after a while, and the lines could get frustrating during busy times, but the staff were always nice and everything felt clean. Not amazing or anything, but solid. I’d probably give it 4 stars.

"Research opportunities felt hard to access"
I spent some time digging through harvard.edu looking for research opportunities, i came away frustrated. A lot of the pages sound impressive, but I couldn’t really tell what was actually open to regular students or outside applicants, so I found myself being careful about not getting my hopes up too much.
I reached out to a couple of contacts and never got a response. Maybe it’s easier if you already have a connection there, but from my experience, the process felt confusing and not especially welcoming, so I’d probably be cautious before investing too much time into it again.

"Admin replies were slow"
I emailed both admissions and billing and it took way longer than I expected to get a response. When they finally wrote back, it was short and didn’t really clear up what I was asking. Just felt slower than..

"Pretty disappointing overall"
The place just felt really run down to me. The building looked old and not in a charming or historic way, more like it just hasn’t been taken care of in a long time. A lot of the seats were broken or uncomfortable, which made it hard to actually relax and enjoy being there. The bathrooms were probably the worst part, though, because they had a really bad smell and just didn’t feel clean. Overall, it wasn’t a great experience and I left feeling disappointed.

"Plenty going on outside of class!"
There are so many clubs, talks, and events listed, it really feels like there’s always something happening. It’s easy to find something to join, try out, or just show up to when you’ve got some free time

"Admissions info was easy to follow"
I used the admissions pages a bunch while I was applying, they were really clear. I could find the deadlines, requirements, and interview details without having to dig around too much. The whole process was still stressful, of course, but the site definitely helped me stay organized and on track. I even told a friend who’s applying to check there first because it made things a lot easier for me.

"I’ve really enjoyed the classes overall, and…"
I’ve really enjoyed the classes overall, and the instructors seem to know their stuff. That said, the workload can feel intense sometimes. Like, I get that it’s supposed to be challenging, but there are moments where it feels like a lot to keep up with...

"Honestly, the cost just feels like a lot"
Tuition is seriously wild, and trying to figure out the financial aid stuff didn’t really calm me down at all. I don’t know, the whole thing just felt confusing and kind of overwhelming. For that much money, I really expected the help and information to be a lot clearer.

"I got stuck and wasn't sure what to..."
I got stuck and wasn't sure what to do next, but the advisors helped me out quickly. Definitely made things a lot less stressful.

"Some good stuff, but it didn’t totally land for me"
I spent some time on Harvard.edu, mostly looking at the diversity and inclusion pages. There’s definitely a lot there. Some of it is useful, and you can tell they’re making an effort. But parts of it felt formal. A little polished. Like I was reading official language more than getting a real feel for campus life. I wanted more of the everyday student perspective, I guess. The info is good. Just didn’t fully convince me

"Helpful info, but a little hard to track down"
I ended up poking around Harvard Health’s mental health pages when I was trying to figure out what support was available, and there really is a good amount of useful info there, like counseling options, crisis numbers, wellness resources, and different places to start, but I had to click through a bunch of pages and keep backtracking and guessing where things might be, which got kind of tiring fast.
Some sections were straightforward and easy enough to understand, while others felt a little buried or written in that formal website way that doesn’t feel super helpful when you’re already stressed. Overall, I’m glad the information is there, but I wish it was easier to find quickly

"Harvard housing was okay overall, I guess..."
Harvard housing was okay overall, I guess. The location was definitely convenient, which helped a lot, but my room felt outdated and like it hadn’t gotten much attention in a while. Whenever something needed fixing, it usually took longer than you’d hope, which was fun. The staff were mostly helpful when I asked questions, so at least there was that.

"Solid info, but a little clunky to use"
The professor and faculty info on harvard.edu seems strong overall, like there’s clearly a lot of serious experience behind it. That said, the site itself can feel kind of hard to browse here and there. It’s fine for finding the basic stuff, but it’s not always the quickest or smoothest thing to use.

"Career services was not very helpful"
I thought Harvard career services would be a lot more useful than it was. The replies took a while, and most of the advice felt general, like it could have been sent to anyone. I did not really feel like they understood what I was trying to do or what kind of jobs I was looking for. A lot of the help was just links I had already found on my own. For the name and how much everything costs, I expected better
"I used harvard.edu to look up some basic..."
I used harvard.edu to look up some basic info, there’s a ton there!!! Admissions, departments, general university stuff... most of it loaded fine, and I did eventually find what I needed.
That said, the menus felt a little all over the place?? Sometimes I had to click through way more pages than I expected, and the search results weren’t always super useful either... which got a bit frustrating.
Overall, it works, and there’s definitely a lot of good information on the site!!! But for such a major university, I kind of expected the whole thing to feel smoother and easier to navigate.

"Lively Campus With a Nice Feel"
The campus felt busy in a good way, with students always around and a lot going on. It gave off a fun, energetic vibe without feeling too overwhelming. If you like an active student atmosphere, this might be a place worth checking out.
"Didn't live up to the hype"
I expected way more. The whole vibe felt kind of cold and a little elitist, like it was trying too hard to be exclusive. I can see why some people might like it, but for me it just didn’t feel worth all the hype 😕

"Felt safe overall, just a few things I noticed"
I felt safe on Harvard’s campus most of the time, honestly. During the day especially, there are usually people around, and the busier areas have that kind of steady campus energy that makes you feel like, okay, I’m not just wandering around alone. I noticed security around too, so that helped.
At night, though, a few areas felt a little too quiet for me, and some spots could definitely use better lighting. Not scary exactly, just… I was more aware of my surroundings. The safety info on Harvard Health is helpful once you find it, but it felt a bit scattered. Overall, I’d say it’s fine, but making updates and emergency/help info easier to find would be a real improvement.
